Clipboard Products are a great way to save time when creating Estimates or Orders by allowing users to copy and paste a product from one Estimate/Order to another.

Details on the Clipboard Feature

  • The Clipboard is available in Quick Price, Estimates or Orders 
  • The Clipboard Feature is user-specific, meaning copied Line Items are only available to the individual who copied them. 
  • If pricing has changed, the updated pricing will be used.
  • Items are automatically deleted after 3 days
Note: If sharing products or retaining them longer than 3 days is important, it is recommended to create a Quick Product. For more information, please see Using Quick Products. 

Creating Clipboard Products


There are two ways to create Clipboard Products. You can either create them from the Order View page of an Estimate or Order, or while Editing/Creating an Estimate or Order. The Quick Price tab uses the same method as Editing/Creating. The instructions below walk you through both options.


Order View Page Method


Begin by opening up the Estimate or Order you would like to copy a product from.


1. Navigate to the Products Tab of the Estimate/Order.

2. Find the green +Clipboard Icon next to the view details of the product you want to copy and click it.
Note: Using this method, you can save products for orders in the Completed or Closed status. 



Once you press the copy icon, a black message will appear stating "Successfully copied to Product Clipboard." After this message is shown, you are ready to use the Clipboard Product on any of your Estimates or Orders for the next 3 days.

Note: There is no limit to how many products a user can copy to the clipboard.


Edit/Creation Method


Begin by opening up the Estimate or Order you would like to copy a product from.


1. Navigate to Step 2 Edit Products.

2. Find the blue +Clipboard Icon in the top right corner of the product you want to copy and click it.



Once you press the copy icon, a black message will appear stating "Successfully copied to Product Clipboard." After this message is shown, you are ready to use the Clipboard Product on any of your Estimates or Orders for the next 3 days.

Note: There is no limit to how many products a user can copy to the clipboard.



Using Clipboard Products


Begin by opening up the Estimate or Order you would like to paste a clipped product to.

Note: You can also paste from the Clipboard into the Quick Price tab.


1. Navigate to Step 2 Edit Products.

2. Find the black Clipboard Icon in the bottom right corner of the product you want to paste.

3. Once you click the black Clipboard Icon, the Clipboard Products Modal will appear displaying all products you have copied to the clipboard in the last 3 days.
Note:  Copied products are automatically sorted from newest to oldest and are neither sortable nor editable. 

Copied products are also user-specific, so you will only see products that you have copied. 

4. Select the desired product you want to use on the Estimate/Order.

Note: The product name listed on the product you copy will be the name of the copied product. As a result, you can have Clipboard Products with the same name.




Note: Once added, you can edit the new Clipboard Product like any other product on an Estimate or Order; however, any edits made here will not affect the product’s overall Clipboard settings.
