If you decide to stop using TaxJar for automated tax calculations, CoreBridge allows you to disable the integration. Before doing so, it’s important to understand what will happen once TaxJar is turned off and what steps you’ll need to take to ensure your Orders and Estimates remain accurate.
What Happens After TaxJar Is Disabled
Once the TaxJar Integration is turned off:
CoreBridge Support will provide a report listing all open Orders and Estimates in your system.
All open Orders and Estimates will retain their current Tax Group, labeled “TaxJar Tax Group.”
These records will not update automatically and will continue to use their existing Tax Group until you manually make changes.
Next Steps
To ensure tax accuracy after disabling TaxJar:
1. Manually update each open Order and Estimate with the appropriate Legacy Tax Group of your choice.
2. For records that are no longer needed, you may Cancel or Void them instead of updating.
Note: Updating each record is a manual process and may take time, especially if your system contains many open records. Bulk updates are not supported, since each record may require a different Legacy Tax Group assignment.
Confirming the Change
When you’re ready to disable TaxJar, please reply to your Support Ticket or contact support@corebridge.net to confirm that you wish to proceed. A CoreBridge Support representative will then coordinate the process and provide your open Order and Estimate report.
