Release Notes (CoreBridge QuickBooks Desktop Sync Tool Version: 2.1.0.159): June 19, 2017

An update was released to the CoreBridge QuickBooks Desktop Sync Tool.  This update applies to you if you are using QuickBooks Desktop for Windows and are using our CoreBridge QuickBooks Desktop Sync Tool.


You should be prompted to update your Sync Tool the next time you attempt to sync.  You can also download the latest version of the sync tool directly from your CoreBridge system here: Accounting > Accounting Export > Download Desktop Client.  [Screenshot]


Note: Some users may be prompted to update their Microsoft .NET Framework to version 4.6.2 or later.  This is a requirement with the latest sync tool update.  You can download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.6.2 [Here].

Important: Please remember, when performing a sync:

  1. QuickBooks should be open in single-user mode.
  2. All windows and transactions should be closed in QuickBooks.


Warning: Performing the sync in multi-user mode or with open windows or transactions may cause significant issues.


Updates and Changes - Full Export:

  • Added additional code to gracefully work around a QuickBooks memory leak issue, known to cause transaction duplication in some circumstances.
  • Corrected an issue where payments were not properly applying to invoices in some circumstances.
  • Corrected an issue related to using the same name for both an agency and a group.  This is intended to be allowed.


Updates and Changes - Lump Export:

  • Added the ability to sync Purchase Orders from CoreBridge to QuickBooks Desktop. [Support Article]
  • Added a feature to allow use of the default Sales Tax Payable account in QuickBooks. [Support Article]
  • Option added to customize the Customer Name used in QuickBooks Desktop for synced Journal Entries.  The default is still "CoreBridge Import". [Screenshot]


Updates and Changes - Sync Tool:

  • Certified the sync tool with Microsoft®.  Users may still receive a warning message when updating to the newest tool.  Choose "More Options" and Run Anyway to install.  Depending on your default web browser, the interface for "More Options" may appear differently: [Example Screenshot]
  • Improved user interface for working with failed items.  Added text wrapping.  Users can now manipulate the row height or copy/paste the entire contents into a spreadsheet or other document for easier viewing and manipulation.
