The Customer Portal Direct Link allows you to send a tokenized link in emails sent from CoreBridge through the customer communication tools. This link provides access without requiring Customer Portal credentials, making it easier for customers to take quick actions. All actions performed through the direct link are tracked in the Order History tab and associated with the Order Contact.

Note:  Because no login is required, anyone with access to the tokenized link will be able to view the information.

Token Expiration Setting

For security purposes, tokenized links are set to expire 30 days from the date they’re generated.

You can adjust this setting by navigating to Management Module / Global Settings / System / Security.

1. Type the desired number of days.

2. Click Save Settings.

If you’ve previously used Customer Portal links that require a login, you can continue using them alongside the new direct links in your email templates, or replace them entirely. Direct links provide access only to the specific estimate or order they’re associated with and do not allow access to the customer’s full list of estimates and orders.

Note: If credit card processing is integrated with your CoreBridge system, the tokenized link can also be used for payments on the associated order. For more information, please see Payments in the Customer Portal.

Navigate to Management Module / Customers / Communication.

1. Select the email template you wish to add the Customer Portal Direct Link to.

2. Select Order/Estimate as the placeholder category.

3. Copy the Customer Portal Order URL and paste the placeholder into the email template above.

4. Click Save All Settings.

5. Repeat for additional templates. This placeholder is available for the following email templates:

  • New Estimate

  • Email Estimate

  • Follow-up Estimate #1

  • Follow-up Estimate #2

  • New Order

  • Email Invoice

  • Action Needed

  • Proof Available

  • Follow-up Proof #1

  • Follow-up Proof #2

  • Order Built

  • Order Completed

  • Payment Due

There are two primary methods of viewing and/or testing the Customer Direct Portal Link yourself.

1. Send yourself an email that includes the appropriate placeholder from CoreBridge.

2. To view the Customer Portal Direct Link, open the Order History tab on any estimate or order that includes a notification email sent to your customer. Locate the notification event, then hover over it to preview the email body and view the direct link included in that message.

When using the Customer Direct Link:

  • The Customer Portal does not have to be enabled in order for customers to access the order.
  • The customer will not be required to login.
  • Customer view and available actions will be limited to the specific Order to which the CoreBridge Customer Communication is relevant.
