Formatting the Exported List of MYOB Customers

  1. Before importing the data into CoreBridge it is important that you perform some cleanup on the data that you have exported. Doing any necessary clean-up within Excel using various functions, formulas, find & replace, etc. will be much faster than updating the records manually within CoreBridge after they have been imported. The following are a few necessary items for you to clean-up at a minimum.
  2. When exporting from MYOB each company will be a single row with up to 5 separate contact names & addresses listed as denoted by the sets of fields with the prefixes of Addr 1 - , Addr 2 - , Addr 3 -, Addr 4 -, and Addr 5 -. Please make any necessary adjustments to clean-up your contact list should you wish to have more than 1 contact per company imported into CoreBridge.
  3. Please note that CoreBridge only supports 2 street address lines, whereas MYOB supports 4 lines. If you have any data in address lines 3 & 4 please review and move that data into lines 1 & 2 for each address that was exported.
  4. The Custom List 2 field corresponds to the Industry Type in CoreBridge, it is important that you update the values in these fields to match your Industry Type list within CoreBridge so that everything is mapped appropriately during the import.
  5. The Salesperson field should be updated to match the name of any salespeople that you have created within CoreBridge so that everything is mapped appropriately during the import.
  6. The Comment field corresponds to the Payment Term in CoreBridge, it is important that you update the values in these fields to match your Payment Terms list within CoreBridge so that everything is mapped appropriately during the import.
