This article shows how an order flows through CoreBridge and Xero for a Voided order. This is for Xero Detail Sync only.
STEP 1
- Order is Completed in CoreBridge
STEP 2
- Order Syncs to Xero
STEP 3
- Payment is entered in CoreBridge
STEP 4
- Once the payment is reconciled in CoreBridge it then syncs to Xero and is applied to the invoice.
- Transaction list in Xero showing the invoice and the payment
STEP 5
- The Completed order is then edited in CoreBridge. For this example the QTY was changed to 2 so before and after will have different numbers to make identification easier.
- This is the new order.
Result from the Customer's order history:
- The Original order is voided and appended with "-V"
- A New Order is created with the same order number.
STEP 6
- When you sync to Xero you get an Invoice error. The sync can't update the invoice in Xero because there is a payment applied. The payment needs to be manually removed from the invoice in Xero.
- This is the error message
- This is what you click to remove the payment so that the sync can update the invoice.
- The payment remains in Xero but is just not allocated any longer to the invoice.
STEP 7
- Run a sync again.
- This is the result in Xero.
- The original invoice is updated and the name changes. "-V" is appended to the name to signify it has been voided in CoreBridge. It is not officially a Void in Xero. Do not actually VOID the order in Xero.
- You get a credit to offset the invoice.
- The payment is waiting to be applied to the future order.
- This is the updated invoice with credit applied.
- This is the credit.
STEP 8
- Complete the order in CoreBridge
STEP 9
- Run a sync
- This is the new order.
- Transaction list in Xero showing the transactions.
