Tax Groups are one of the primary components utilized in determining the Sales Tax of an Order.

Tax Groups on Orders
In Step 1: Order Details, selecting a Company will set the Sales Center on the Order to match the Sales Center for the Primary Contact. Because all new Orders default to In-Store Pickup, the Tax Group is also set automatically to the corresponding In-Store Pickup Tax Group for that Sales Center.
Note: Your desired In-Store Pickup Tax Group can be managed in Management Module / Locations / (Your Selected Location / Tax Groups.
After all Products and Parts have been added to the Order, click Step 3: Finalize Order. This will allow you to adjust the Delivery Method, Sales Center, Tax Group, and Order Contact as needed. Making changes here saves you from having to return to Step 1: Order Details, since all these changes can be handled in one place.
Tax Groups and Pickup
In-Store Pickup
Using this method, the Sales Center will automatically default to the Order Contact’s Sales Center, and the system will also apply the In-Store Pickup Tax Group associated with that Sales Center.
Pickup Location
The Pickup Location field lets you override the default Pickup Location if needed. The options in the drop-down list are based on the number of Locations set up in your CoreBridge system. If the correct Location isn’t listed, you can select Other and manually enter it.
As you adjust the Pickup Location you'll notice that the Sales Center and Tax Group will automatically change to match the default settings for that specific Location as specified under the Management Module / Locations / (Your Selected Location) / Tax Groups page.
Note: The Sales Center and Tax Group selections can be manually overridden at any time to achieve your desired Pickup Location, Sales, and Tax treatment.
Tax Groups and Delivery Methods
When utilizing Delivered, Shipped, Installed, Freight / LTL methods the Sales Center and Tax Group will be cleared.
Customer Location
Once a Delivery Method is chosen, you will be prompted to select the Customer Location for the Delivery, Shipping, Installation, etc. Upon selecting the Customer Location, the Sales Center and Tax Group will default to the values that are specific to those Customer Locations as defined on the Company Record for the Order.
Note: The Sales Center and Tax Group selections can be manually overridden at any time to achieve your desired Customer Location, Sales, and Tax treatment.
