TaxJar has been turned off in your system, and tax calculations are no longer handled automatically through the integration. Going forward, you’ll manage taxes using your configured Legacy Tax Groups. This article outlines what’s already been completed and the steps you’ll need to take to ensure accurate tax setup moving forward.
What Has Been Completed
When the TaxJar Integration was disabled, the following actions were taken:
TaxJar was fully deactivated in your system.
All Orders were updated so that they no longer calculate tax using TaxJar.
A report was provided listing all open records that require review and manual updates.
What You’ll Need to Do
To complete the transition to Legacy Tax Groups:
1. Review each open record (Orders, Quotes, Jobs, etc.) listed in the provided report.
2. Manually update each record to use the correct Legacy Tax Group.
3. If a record is no longer needed, you may Cancel or Void it instead of updating.
Additional Notes
Cloning Old Orders:
If you clone an older Order that originally used TaxJar, make sure to select the correct Legacy Tax Group for the new record.Closed Records Using TaxJar:
If a record was closed while still assigned to a TaxJar Tax Group, it can be updated using the Edit a Completed/Closed Order process.Accessing the TaxJar Report:
While the report no longer appears in your user interface, it can still be accessed directly using [this link].
